Panchgani has several places of interest as listed below. Some of these places have been described in detail.
Devil’s Kitchen
To the south of the Table Land lies the Devil's Kitchen. Belief exists that the Pandavas stayed here for some time and cooked their food here. The place sees a huge number of visitors and has a mythological significance.
Rajpuri Caves
Rajpuri caves are located at a distance of 10 km from Panchgani. The caves have astounding religious significance, as the temple of Lord Karthikeya, son of Lord Shiva, is also located here. During the harvest season, the locals of the place hold a fair.
Sydney Point
Sydney Point rests atop a small hillock. The place gives miraculous views of the Dhom Dam. Pandavgad and Mandhardeo can also be seen from this place.
Table Land
Perched at an elevation of 60 metres, this plateau is said to be the second longest in Asia (4.5 kms). It protects Panchgani from harsh weather conditions, making this location really enjoyable. Considering its popularity, Tableland has a full-fledged fair, with rides, game and snack stalls.
This flat gigantic mass of Laterite rock also provides views of some huge and exquisite caves. A little below Tableland is a unique restaurant cave, easily accessible. The plateau provides amazing views of the river flowing through ravines, as also a magnificent view of the five hills.
Here, one can see the ‘Pandav’s Feet’, a rock formation with feet imprints of the Pandavas. Also worth seeing here are ‘One Tree Point’, with a single tree growing on a rock and ‘Shooting Point’, a picturesque spot which has been the backdrop to several film shoots
